We are a working lifestyle property with cows, chickens and sheep; just a short distance to Matamata Township and Hobbiton Movie Set.
Okauia Lodge is centrally located and a great base for a few days as Cambridge, Tauranga, Te Aroha, Rotorua and Waitomo Caves are all within reach.
The Hauraki Bike Trail is only 3km from Okauia Lodge and there are several hiking trails within the Kaimai Ranges.
At the end of the day unwind and relax on the deck enjoying the amazing views of the Kaimai Ranges, or go for a soak at the Opal Hot Springs or Te Aroha Hot Pools all within reach from Okauia Lodge.
